  1. Rather not leave my name (verified owner)

I purchased this for a 5 year old male child. I picked the red and blue face (as I think the fewer colours actually makes it easier to read) and either the “navy blue” or “grey” strap (I can’t remember now).

I opted for the “Past & To” time telling system.

I posted it directly to the child’s parents so cannot speak for the build quality of the watch but I am told that it works perfectly and that that he is telling them the time reliably.

There is nothing better than an appropriately designed watch for someone.

      Thanks for your comments!

Appears to be as described. It was bought as a present for my grandson so at this time (excuse the pun) I cannot comment on how successful it is

      Thank you Julie

Lovely watch which my 6yo is enjoying reading – he’s picked it up very quickly! My only quibble is that the buckle strap is very short so the watch does up on the side of the wrist rather than underneath which seems odd and leaves the spare strap flapping about.

    • Sue (verified owner)

Hi Sarah, thanks for your comments. Have you tried sliding the watch along the strap a bit? Also if you have spare strap flapping about, you can thread it back under the 2nd metal strap keeper loop to make it tidier. I’ll send you a photo of how we do it. Hope that helps.

Perfect watch for my 5, nearly 6 year old son. Simple watch face with easy to read numerals, and good choice of strap and face colours.

      Thank you! 🙂

the watch is lovely. ordered navy blue for my daughter age 8 as she wanted it the same colour as her uniform. picked ‘past/to’ and rainbow colours. was worried it wouldn’t fit as she has small wrists, so have struggled to find watches in the past. This fits perfect with the holes on the strap not too far apart. only thing is the strap is long, so when she has it on it sticks out, so we’ve had to put a hairband around it to keep it flat. overall excellent watch

    • Sue (verified owner)

Hi Lisa, thanks very much for the lovely review. Regarding the strap, have you tried looping it back through the 2nd keeper? We often suggest people do that – I’ll email you a photo.

Hello, our 5yr old loved the watch. We purchased it 2 years ago and would like our younger son to use it as well. However, we can’t find a way to change the battery. I’m amazed I can’t find anything about it on the website.

    • Eve Horne

Hi Juliana, thanks for your message. You have reminded me – I really must put some more information about changing the battery in the FAQ section of our website!
Our watches take a standard button cell battery type SR626SW. If you have the standard watch (not waterproof), the case back does have a tiny notch somewhere on its circumference, where you can insert a small tool (e.g. jewellers screwdriver) and prise the back off. Once you’ve got the back off it’s quite straightforward to change the battery. The tricky bit is getting the case back, back onto the watch. You have to apply firm and even pressure to the whole surface. There’s a plastic washer that goes round the whole edge of the back and you need to make sure it stays in place.
We often suggest that people take the watch to a jeweller or watch repairer to replace the battery, as they have a special press tool that makes it easy to replace the back.
      Hope that helps!

We gave this to my daughter for her 6th birthday. She absolutely loved it and picked the concept up within a few mintues. She went off to school very excited, showing everyone on the way and telling them to time. Unfortunately, it didn’t last the day! My daughter is very careful with her things, more so than typical, her teacher saw her trip on a table leg and catch the watch on the edge of the table, the face was completely smashed. Accidents will inevitably happen but for a product which presumably is designed with children in mind I would think toughened glass would be an essential. There were tears from our birthday girl, her present lasted a few hours. Such a shame as we all thought the concept was great!

    • Sue (verified owner)

Dear Kate, thanks for your comments. I’m so sorry to hear that your daughter’s watch didn’t even last the day. That sounds like really bad luck for her to trip and catch the watch on the table. We’ll be happy to replace it for her, we don’t like to hear about tears from our customers. I’ll send you another watch today and hopefully she’ll have more luck with the next one!

Great watch! My daughter loves it. It’s made learning to tell the time an easy process. I will be purchasing for my other kids when they reach the right age.

Such a great watch. I purchased for my daughter who is learning to tell the time. The past/to concept has made the learning process so easy!
I will be purchasing for my other kids when they reach an appropriate age too.

      Sarah,
Thank you for your kind comments, we are glad our clocks and watches are helping your daughter with her learning. Happy time teaching

Fantastic watches, I could not recommend more; robust, big clear watch face with a simple time teaching system. We purchased one for my older daughter a couple of years ago, she still loves hers especially the clear face. We recently purchased one for our youngest daughter who has some learning challenges, she has embraced it and it has been a delight to see her working on her numbers to be able to tell the time. The strap is excellent – adjustable so you can slide the watch up and down the strap to put it in the best position – great for little wrists, and the strap neatly tucks back onto itself into the metal keeper. We also have the alarm clock which has the benefit of the bigger size to teach the ‘to’ and ‘past’ concepts. The company are fantastic and when we had a problem with the clock alarm they replaced it straight away. Fabulous product and great customer care – thank you!

Very clear watch face and numbers are easy to read. I purchased 2 for my granddaughters for Christmas in Purple & Pink and I am sure they will love them and enjoy learning to tell the time. Delivery was very quick very happy with the purchase.

An excellent watch to help your little one to learn to tell the time. I bought this for my 6 year old. He has been using it successfully for the past week. Would 100% recommend.

  14. Chelle (verified owner)

The idea is very good. The watch came and did not work so needed a new battery. The card game again a good idea but the hour hand is always in the wrong place to teach the child the correct time ie 8.40 and the hour hand is at 8 but it should be closer to the 9 all the way through the pack the hour hand is incorrect!

    • Sue (verified owner)

Hi Chelle, thanks for your review and sorry it’s taken me so long to see it and reply. I have studied the playing cards in detail and I’m struggling to find where the hour hand is in the wrong place. Perhaps if you have time, could you send me a photo with an example of what you’re talking about? My email is [email protected]. Thanks!
